AHA Prime LTD
Our commitment to keeping everyone safe — our team, our customers, and the public — on every single job.
Policy statement: AHA Prime LTD is committed to ensuring, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety, and welfare of all employees and of any other persons who may be affected by our work activities.
AHA Prime LTD takes the health and safety of its employees, contractors, customers, and the general public extremely seriously. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all personnel involved in our operations.
Our management team holds ultimate responsibility for health and safety. Every driver and team member is trained in manual handling, load securing, and emergency procedures before undertaking any job.
All vehicles in our fleet are regularly inspected, serviced, and maintained to the highest road-worthiness standards. Pre-shift vehicle checks are mandatory for all drivers before every working day.
Loads are secured using appropriate restraints including ratchet straps, blankets, and anti-slip matting. No vehicle departs without confirmation that the load is fully safe and within legal weight limits.
All team members receive formal manual handling training aligned with HSE guidelines. We use appropriate equipment — sack trucks, appliance trolleys, and lifting straps — to minimise the risk of injury when moving heavy items.
We conduct a risk assessment on every job before work begins. Where access is restricted or items are unusually heavy, we deploy additional team members and appropriate specialist equipment.
Dynamic risk assessments are completed at the start of every job. Our team is trained to identify and mitigate hazards including narrow staircases, slippery surfaces, fragile items, and adverse weather conditions.
Any incident, near-miss, or unsafe condition is reported, recorded, and reviewed by management within 24 hours. Lessons learned are communicated to the full team.
AHA Prime maintains compliance with all relevant UK health and safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated regulations.
Regular toolbox talks, refresher training, and updated procedures ensure our team remains current with best practice. Records of all training are kept on file and reviewed annually.
All staff are briefed on emergency procedures including what to do in the event of a road traffic incident, a workplace injury, or a fire. Emergency contact numbers are displayed in all vehicles.
